Hey guys! So I’m trying to decide between UCF and NU. My top choice was NYU by a long shot, but they did not give me enough money and I’d have $135,000 in debt there.
So now it’s between these two. I’m from Boston and lived here all my life. At Northeastern I would have about $67,000 in debt and I’d have almost none at UCF. Im going to be a nursing major and plan on going to grad school.
I feel like the atmosphere at NU will be better for me-more intellectual and in a city (which is what I want). But UCF seems more fun (I love the theme parks and the beach) and it’ll be new, but pretty outside my comfort zone because it’s so far and mostly in state students. I’m worried about fitting in at UCF since I’m a more intellectual person.
I really like Northeastern but I hate the snow. It’ll also be much more intense and challenging than UCF, and it’s a lot more money. Also, it won’t really be anything new for me since I live close to Boston. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated!
I’d go with the debt-free, more fun option at UCF. If you’re worried about the intellectual quality of the school, then try to see if you could get into the Honors College. But even without it, UCF is still a good university.
