They are cruel
I am an international and waitlisting me is the same thing as rejecting me
like even if I do get in I won’t have time to get my family a visa and stuff and they are so not sending me alone 
What percent of applicants were wait listed? It seems like so many why not just be honest and outright reject. I got a 1270 SAT and even though I have hooks and good recs I’m probably not getting in.
Can someone post what the rejection letter looks like?
I have a 2270 SAT and 4 gpa and my own tiny organization but no APs because my school doesn’t give them so yeah waitlisted and probably never getting in

@anaheim some people will have financial aid letters at the time of decision, some may not. I got in ED2 and my letter wasn’t there so I called the financial aid office the next day and they told me it would be in in the next week, which it was.

My Son is waitlisted as well. We thought it would be straight reject so, pleasantly surprised but, won’t mean much if he does not get in.

Wow. I do not know what to say. I have been rejected by Chicago, JHU, and Swarthmore. I am an athlete and the coaches said they would support me. I have a 32 Act and a 3.9 uw. I am in absolute shock. Now I only have some of the ivies with no support and Tufts w/support. I think I might get rejected everywhere. This is so disappointing. Please everyone pray for me.
D was waitlisted. It seems that U Chicago may have waitlisted more folks than WUSTL this year. Maybe it is because the school is experimenting with the roll out of EA/ED1?ED2.
