UChicago class of 2016 Early Action applicants unite!

I kinda wanna throw up right now I’m so nervous

I didn’t get an email yet but I checked. https://prospects.uchicago.edu/apply/status

I’m IN HOLY CRAP

Deferred. Damnit.

Deferred. 34 ACT, 2200 SAT, felt like my essays were awesome, good recommendations, had support from the soccer coach, 4.905/4.000 class rank weighted, 6/425 class rank, have no idea how I didn’t get in. Starting to worry about my application (is there something wrong?!?!?!?!). I also got deferred from Georgetown.

deferred :(

does any one get rejected from ea chicago

I’m afraid most rejecteds are too upset to post atm

Deferred  well…at least it’s better than denied! I look at it as getting a second chance!

Deferred is the worst admissions decision. Four more months of waiting. I could barely handle it today. I’m also wondering if they reject anyone or if they just wait four months to reject the EA people.

and deferred… can’t say I wasn’t expecting that.

but does it happen or is chicago only defer/accept

Deferred…crap.
With low scores but a 3.9 uw gpa but a 5.3 w gpa.
Good essays too! :(

I knew I’d get deferred :frowning: sigh… oh well.

CONGRATULATIONS to those who got accepted though. I’M INCREDIBLY JEALOUS!

deffered…Do they just defer everyone instead of rejecting?

I think I got deferred? I’m not sure… it says I’ll be reconsidered in the spring… is that a deferral? Or does everyone get reconsidered if they don’t make Early Action?

I got deferred but at least it wasn’t a rejection. This is my top school. I also got deferred from northeastern so waiting for April 1 is going to kill me

They deny people; on the uncommon blog they say there are three admission decisions: accept, defer , and deny. So being denied is possible.

OMG I got defferred! it looks like a lot of other people did to. I’m though because I got a 1900 on the SAT i really thought I would get flat-out rejected.

I’m in! I actually started crying with relief
