I sent three teacher recs and one by my counselor. I can’t even think of three “other” recommenders that I would trust to write a really good rec. Out of curiosity, what’s a college access counselor? Does anyone here have one?
Is it only me that cannot go to the applicant account page?
@dr0wning, Penn has the video only when you get accepted. when you open the portal, if you hear music, that means you’re in, if not, just close your computer and run off watching Netflix and eating tub full of ben and jerry’s.
@lechatellier4, did you make sure it’s the Chicago APPLICANT portal and not the regular chicago student portal?

@CoolGurl101 Of course, that’s the only reason. Oh, and my contacts acted up, that’s why I was crying earlier. And I must have gotten a cold, that’s why I’m sniffling so much!
I really hope UChicago sends an exact date/time of decision notification so that I can at least try to prepare for it. The other school I applied to early, Columbia, will release decisions 15 minutes after my school ends, so that day will be horrible, but I’ll definitely hide in the bathroom or a hidden corner.
What other schools are you guys applying to?

@gearsstudio More like I’m being realistic. Honestly, I appear pessimistic but on the inside I’m really hopeful, almost unrealistically so. It’s a balance!
I said that the day will be horrible because of the wait and suspense, lol. I re-read it and it does sound really pessimistic! It’s really not so bad because even though I’d love to go to either my ED or EA school, I’ve already written the essays for most of my other schools.

I’m pretty sure its like 4 or 5 PM central time.
So about midnight for me.
I’ll probably be among the last to check my account in that case, because if there’s anything I don’t need it’s to start the school day despondent and tired to boot.
That’s 2-3 pm for me. Right around the end of the school day again…
so…I’m just assuming today is the beginning of the 10 day countdown to decisions. I’m…full of questions. Also have my uchicago interview today, not sure how since I thought it was too late, but my interviewer was adamant about finishing the interview by today. Maybe this means they’ll tell us the true date by tomorrow?
