UChicago Class of 2022 Discussion

@Harvard2022maybe crap i’m at 24

Props to us for even applying though

Everyone cross their finger for me & Bowdoin, lol, I just want to get in somewhere (that i actually want to go to). The Bowdoin thread is so inactive

@matt4isu I’m just tryna get my mind off decisions.

for people with ea acceptance, how did the screen look when you opened the account? was is the super extra welcome screen that a lot of colleges do or did it just show you a link to open your admissions decision, as it did for deferred and denied?

im freaking the heck out

I love Bowdoin! I have a summer house near there and I loved the campus. Too small for me, though

please help

my friend said for QB it was an animated screen where bubble letters formed the words “congratulations”

I kinda wanna call the admissions office and beg for mercy.

Looking at the admitted student ACT range for the class of 2021…like…I’m sorry, but who tf got in with a 20? Natural intellect, if qualified for UChi, should take you far beyond that regardless of your ability to prep…smh

Eh don’t judge on a standardized test score. Personally I’ve found that it means nothing, and I did really well without studying

people sometimes get in with a low score if they were recruited for sports @Ashtash

@Ashtash i went to bowdoin’s fly in and i absolutely loved it im so anxious waiting

I agree. Don’t psyche the rest out at this moment.

I know this guy who can’t even talk to 5 people without coming off as insensitive and boring and he got 1540 on his SAT and 800/800/800 on his subjects SATs. But that doesn’t mean anything when he’s so rude does it?

Yea, it’s just as someone who had to work hard to get a 33 (not good at standardized test), it’s kinda annoying. I understand the struggle of not being good at tests and making exceptions for those that obviously have a lack of resources, but I feel a 20 is a bit much. Isn’t the nat’l avg 18?

@photographynerd Exactly

No idea what box you guys were talking about but there’s no hint on my portal so rip me

Oh wow, the nat’l avg for those graduating high school last year was a 20.8
