(Responding from earlier @chessplayer101 and @otrastudying) Thanks! My Woodrow Wilson proposal was about Sylvia Plath and feminist literary criticism. I believe I applied as a Writing Seminars major, but I’ll probably end up doing Econ/International Relations instead or as well.
Hahahha my essay could never be that intellectually refined
Okay - after asking him more (I had just seen the decision letter on his screen, not the full waitlist part) it turns out that my son DID have a part about the gap year… Now here’s my question about that, will they let you know at the same time when you find out about the waitlist about the gap year waitlist?
Like will you get a decision in a few months that is one of 3 options - 1. reject 2022, 2. accept 2022, 3. accept 2023… Like they don’t expect you to wait around hanging for a whole other year to find out about that gap year offer or not, right?
So 12.5% waitlisted, 3.5 accepted of those 12.5%? If true, that’s a 0.4375% chance :(((…and those numbers aren’t even confirmed…
My daughter was deferred EA. Rejected RD. 4.0/4.0 unweighted GPA. 34 ACT (35 superscore).8 APs, great ECs, letters, etc. I am so glad she didn’t get in. Uchicago is not the right school for her. Congrats to all that got accepted and good luck.
Accepted! Feels surreal.
Waitlisted! Very surprised, I thought for sure that I would be flat out rejected.
Waitlisted with a 1580 SAT and 3.93/4.0 UW GPA. I have to say, I’m slightly disappointed but such are the ways of life. Congratulations to everyone who got in! Does anyone know if it’s worth waiting slightly on committing to other schools if you’ve been waitlisted (I’m still waiting for March 28th but looking to commit to a good public in-state school if I get rejected/waitlisted more) or is it not even worth the attempt?
HEY GUYS - is the initial “Your Application Decision is Ready” email we all received the same no matter if you’re accepted, denied, waitlisted? Here’s my email, I was waitlisted:
@bardib @MisPollitas00 @chessplayer101 @bldtchr @MaybeHarvard2022 @Pelincton @flylikethesun @IntApp2022 @bookluver04 @flylikethesun @Hamlon @photographynerd @Holistic2
Guessing it would have been the perfect school for her if your daughter was accepted? lol @pcmom1
@lizzy1234 That looks like the same email I got when I got accepted EA; they’re probably all the same.
@jimochimin I’m in the same boat as you. I would just wait and see what happens if waiting doesn’t bother you too much. I mean, that state school will never go away. You’ll always be able to commit
Should we have gotten our financial aid along with our acceptance letter? Or does that come at a later time?
1230 sat/ 3.7 uw gpa (Waitlisted) it’s not just about test scores.
I should’ve applied early.
@Legends PREACH IT!!! Congrats!
Thanks but to be honest I want to go to Georgetown. If I’m accepted that’s where I’ll probably go.
Best of luck!!
My sons email looked exactly like that (didn’t seem too encouraging when he read it the way it was worded I must admit so he was expecting a reject)… He was waitlisted.
@Sallaw the financial aid is there, scroll down there are three attachments.
@Abelo999 What about the 403 error is true?
People who got the error were waitlisted or rejected. Those who had the “Welcome” page thing were accepted
