@Wisconsin impressive…! My self-esteem just plummeted.

@Wisconsin I feel you. I’ve been playing copious amounts of Tetris to keep myself calm. One of my close friends just got into Stanford on Friday, and somehow that made me feel even more anxious. Just three more days!

@Debate1996

Nevermind. A friend of mine from texas chose a very simlar essay reponse haha. He is also a debater.

@mipark18 don’t be. It’s, I think, my state. Not a lot of competition in debate and forensics. haha

@SeaSwallowed yeah it’s bad. I got cookie clicker. I have alloted over 2 billion cookies over the past day, clicking nervously.

No, my essay was not about any philosophy in particular. If it happens to be, that was unintentional. I merely said what I wanted to; any relations to philosophy were not intended.

@Debater1996

Based on your essay, you’d find Difference and Repetition by Gilles Deleuze interesting. It’s at the Co-op book store at UChicago, I know for sure. He argues that all of subjectivity comes down to the realization of difference and repetition within objects.

More so, he says that similarities and differences are completely related and intertwined, that choosing to look at one requires the other. He criticizes a lot of western thought to, from the Kantian side of philosophy, choosing instead the thought of Hume, Nietzsche, and Spinoza as a foundation for the understanding of our reality and meaning.

Anyway, it’s vividly interesting and Deleuze is an incredible writer.

Alright Wisconsin, I’m with sort of with mi park here. My self esteem just took a kick to the nuts. You seem very impressive, and that’s worth noting. I wish you the best and hope you get in (like the rest of us)!

@SeaSwallowed, I’ve resorted to all sorts of games. Large amounts of Tetris, Flow, Unblock Me, and Minion Rush. I’ve beaten Flow I think three times already in the past week. Beaten unblock me four times. And have played an intensive amount of Tetris and Minion Rush. It’s come to the point I’m up at 2AM just playing cause I can’t sleep and anything else just makes me think UChicago.

@footiesc7

Thanks. Means a lot to me, especially with nerves. I hope you all get in. I’m sure you will too. We can all get coffee.

As for games, you should all check out Dominion. It’s one of my favorite strategy card games. It’s a lot of fun.

@Wisconsin

I might just have to check that out.

candy crush addict here. thee first step is admitting the problem(oh god admitting, oh no)

@WisconsinDebater I talked about existential vandalism too! Thats crazy. On the one hand I’m happy that its so common there that multiple people have noticed it, but on the other hand I don’t feel as original anymore.

Welcome to the family WisconsinDebater! As part of the not talking about the d (I feel like now I have to say that phrase as often as possible on here before Wednesday comes and the beauuutiful double-entendre vanishes), do you guys think not talking about stats should be added, or should we leave as is? WD, your app is fantastic! I’m about as nervous about decisions as Michael Cera is around girls now, and I do mean that as a compliment :)

@EnoughNerve thanks. I think we should all just start posting things to do, read, listen to, etc. I present Folk Punk http://8tracks.com/kylobe/good-****ing-job-sherlock

@Wisconsin Apparently your link doesn’t exist.

Any Ruzzle addicts wanna battle till d day?! :p

@nerve i think we should ban stats, as it seems like this could dissolve into a d measuring contest (take that both ways)

Alrighty, agreed. So I’ve been saving Sherlock for a special occasion. I think the time has come…Aaaand 15 minutes in I’m already hopelessly addicted.

Are you a whovian?!

@EnoughNerve I guess you could say the stress is creating a three-patch problem. Heh.

@nerve At least you won’t have to wait as long for series 3. I’m going crazy from the wait!
