<p>Weren’t these essays just the most fun to write? I know I had tons of fun writing mine.</p>

I actually submitted a “draw my life” video on the portfolio section, so they can get an understanding with my hazardous life.</p>
<p>I wish I could share my video with ya’ll haha as well as I want to see ya’ll’s portfolios. I am sure they are filled with wonderful dreams and glees</p>

<p>@alleycat2 Thank you for your sweet words! It was the first time I did a video like that so there is a lot of “uhm… eh…” in the video. I am a Chinese, but I left China at the age of 4. Lived through a lot of countries since then.
I am trying to finish my high school in two years (yes I am sixteen), since my parents move too constantly for their jobs and I don’t want to mess up my transcript by transferring to other high schools. My standardized tests scores are truly awful, but my GPA is decent. So let’s see. I have a feeling that I will get rejected. </p>
<p>Just out of curiosity, how many recommendation letters did you guys send? I sent 3 teacher rec, 2 other (my school director and a officer of an Embassy that I worked for) rec and 1 counselor rec. </p>
<p>@JK0919 Aww thanks! You too have amazing stats and ECs, so I think you have a very high possibility to get in! I in another hand have a really, really low SAT score… (1700/2400) and I am largely depending on my personal experience, EC and essays here. </p>

<p>Studying in a college does not simply mean that it follows after your score. It also means much more on your personal quality, EC, and other wonderful factors. So you should keep your head up even if you think your scores are not enough. Well, I think the same way but see, I sent my gollum video without any shame! #YOLO @kalfoodie</p>

<p>I just reread my essays for UChicago even though I promised myself I wouldn’t, and I feel like I’ve finally accepted that it will be okay if I don’t get in. Everything will work out right?</p>
