Any idea what percentage of deferred gets in? I’m just not optimistic. I’m feeling like all the new admissions will come from the RD pool and not ED.

I never got an email from the regarding my financial aid D: I’m scared now… But the thing is I finished everything a month before their deadline! Would that be why? Oh, the rumors are freaking me out rocks back and forth in a fetal position. Queue drama and chaos for all people that didn’t get the financial aid letter Dun dun dun.

Drama aside, if we all get in, we should have a get together “collegeconfidential panic group” meeting in Chicago & get Lou Malnati’s Chicago Deep Dish Pizza lol. I’ve only been to Chicago once in my life and that pizza was commented “hands down best” by locals (and it was).

I just think it’s a very baseless claim and I think they have no right to stress you out(as a person who hasn’t recieved an email). I hope you get in Hersheybar315!

@Maroonsfan‌ I actually saw this one stats thing on UC official admissions office tumblr, saying something about the school historically admitting about 10% of their deferred ED people. But someone on the UC Class of 2019 Facebook Applicants page said that the deferred ED people basically get re-evaluated with the RD people. No one actually knows what happens, but I would just go along with the official statement on their tumblr and hope being deferred boosts our chances a little bit.

If you read your defferal letter it says they reevaluate your application. That is why I added things to my portfolio, like the St. Baldrick’s/Barnes and Noble add that I was in, then I went for an interview at the end of January.

My son was admitted EA. The notices were released about 4:00 central standard time. Good luck all!

@ANerdfighter , yea I suppose people can check while in school, but I think releasing during that timeframe would significantly reduce the amount of traffic because not everyone would be able to check while in class etc…
