@nandroida It’s possible. I guess we’ll have to wait and see!
@nandroida When you log into your UChicago account, is your financial aid checklist missing?
i don’t know if this will work (it probably won’t) but I actually jumped on a plane 10 days ago and flew to chicago to do an interview in-person…it was 2 degrees (the HIGH) outside but I did it because i wasn’t able to get an interview in my area (i guess not enough alumni) and i really really wanted that chance…so me and a buddy found a flight for under $180 and we flew up that morning and came back that night. If nothing else, we had a really good story when we got back to school.
@TheUnicornPimp Lol, your name
I had checkmarks on my financial aid checklist until the email. They emailed me saying they got rid of my checkmarks to remind me to update them.
@nandroida Haha, I’ve used this name for everything since since I was in the fifth grade. But The actual checklist is still there right? Like the Financial Aid Box?
@GreyGarvin That is a really cool story. You should let your admissions officer know you did that…I mean it can’t hurt you right?
@Theunicornpimp that was the best part! Because it was freakin 2 degrees & a snowstorm, lots of people didn’t show up for the tour…so we spent time with everybody in the office…again, i’m not saying that i think it’ll work (it probably won’t)…but if I’m rejected in 12 days, I’ll know that I literally did everything that i could…
@GreyGarvin I kept emailing the admissions office with random questions for a while…just so they would get familiar with me. The only thing I regret is never visiting UChicago. My parents were not going to let me go without them, but they never had time to take me. Your experience sounds great. I really do hope that you get in! What state at you from? Also, how does your UChicago account look. I still have my financial aid checklist on it…do you think that’s a bad sign?
I applied early action and got differed to regular decision! I’m so nervous!!!
Wait so can someone please help clear this up? Is having the checklist a good sign? I have the checklist and it has a check mark by FAFSA…
@JustRose96 I was deferred as well…I know how you feel!!! The wait is the worst part
@Foreverindia I posted the question on the UChicago Applicants Facebook page. If everyone has the checklist…then I don’t think it means anything.
For me, the application portion of the checklist has disappeared. Unfortunately, I do not know what this means. However, the financial aid checklist portion remains.
@nmackpaddywhack That disappeared a loooooooong time ago for me (application portion). The FA has remained though.
Everything’s disappeared except my interview checklist. No Idea what that means.
@hallowdreams
Interesting… So apparently decisions will be released on Friday, March 13th? I’m sure that wasn’t intentional…
Hey guys!!! So I just got off the phone with my admissions counselor! The Admissions Checklist is supposed to be gone. If you applied for Financial Aid, your checklist should still be there.
when decision coming out? Is it by email or mail? please by mail, I dont like this email jazz.
All you do is check your account and you’ll see the status update and after you click that you can veiw your decision
