UCI 2016 Business Administrations Major

UCI’s Business School is extremely competitive. They DO NOT have TAG for this major. The average GPA that get accepted to UCI for Business Administrations is a 3.98. This year, they only accepted roughly 900 students out of over 22,000 applicants. That’s saying a lot from the 300 that were accepted last year. If you are some of the few who got in. Can you share your stats with your fellow peers here (GPA, Transfer requirement status, extra curricular activities, etc.)?

I only know one high school student, who worked his tail off, who was reject by 5 UC’s but was accepted for this major at UCI last month as a freshman.

If you want to discuss with other transfer Business Administrations students who are waiting to be notified please post here and if you were accepted in this particular major?

Thank you!

@biscuityoung will you be attending irvine?

@Ellenparkk I’m currently deciding between Cal Poly and UCI, but am currently leaning more towards Irvine

High school senior who got accepted
GPA: 4.4
My extracurricular activities include volunteering at my local hospital, my local Chinese school, my local library tutoring center, and my high school volunteer clubs. I also took on a tutoring job for 3 years.

Submitted my SIR to UCI, but got wait listed for Berkeley so I’m waiting on that. For the mean time I’m happy with going to UCI.

Hope this helps

That’s what I don’t understand,transfer student GPA only goes up to 4.0.

@yourHIGHne55 That’s my weighted GPA (it includes my ap/honors courses).
My unweighted GPA is 3.92.

@yourHIGHne55 it also has to do with the scale your school is on. The GPA I gave is out of 4.3 and my weighted high school GPA is actually out of 5.0.
