I have a low weighted gpa, around 3.45. I have 75 hours of community service and I have a low sat, 1800. I plan on raising my sat to 2000, at least. I wanna know whether anyone similar to me got into either of these schools. I'm also a board member of two clubs and have been in 3 clubs for 2 years each. Do I have a chance?

Bump…

Yes, you do stand “a chance” How are your senior grades going? Those are considered and need to be solid.

I actually haven’t started school yet. But I plan on getting a 4.0 or above.

Hi, I’m in the same scenario as you and would like to know as well.

Sent from my VS910 4G using CC

Glad to know I’m not the only one! Hopefully someone comes by and helps us.

go to santa barbara CC and then tranfer, youll get in easy

the average gpa of getting into ucsb out of hs is 3.98. doesnt exactly mean you need that but SOME people get in w/ 3.5

I don’t actually live in Santa Barbara, I live in LA. Community college is not even an option for me, I tried telling that to my mom but she didn’t want to have any of it.

are you a low income family?? if not, sbcc is the nicest community college there is and like 2nd in nation. get a cheap apt and move there its beautiful. and if you are low income student aid wont cover much ucsb is EXPENSIVE!!! VERY EXPENSIVE!!! because its just sooooooo beautiful!!! if you havent been in real life itll blow you away. so you should consider more options

No we’re not low income but we’re like lower middle class. So I’m not sure if we could sustain renting another apartment on top of our own place. My only real hope is trying to get in out of high school…

More bumpage.

if youre still in high school then just get good grades
