uci appeal 2010

uhh…I’m allowed to be on CC and look at whatever thread i want :). Just seeing when the appeals actually come out, so my friend can actually check to see if he got in :).

Also Shibykin is giving people some hope and confidence by posting tips and just motivation on the boards. Although your “information” might have some value in it, the process of appealing is just as nerve racking as applications and having posts from positive people such as Shibykin never hurts.

very true rammnation. i dont think either shiby or bball really mean harm on any of us. lets just all get through this together guys. c’mon no one wins when we fight.

hehe :). I did help some1 with there UCSC appeal and fortunately they got in  (freshmen appealer) and hoping the transfer appealer I helped will get in also :D, little iffy on that since I’m not a transfer -.-. Don’t give me bs crap that UCSC is easy to get into. If you’re rejected and theres a waitlist, appealing is still very low chance of getting in -.- so it’s still an achievement being the odds :). P.S UCSC waitlist is like 200 people less than UCI so it’s not that big of a difference -.-.

Haha imagine if all of you guys got in :), and then you can look back on this thread and be like wow we were idiots -.-. Or theres a big sense of rivalry o.O?

UHm… so guys, Hahahahha.

No word from Irvine? :frowning:

I did not know the SIR deposit would be $250 so I really don’t want that money to go to waste… T___T

Should I just go to UCSC and forget about Irvine? -_-.

yup o.o. SIR is only $100 o.o. I’m assuming the other $150 is refundable if u dont go :)?

The $150 is a “housing deposit.”

Turns out they added $7.60 for “convenience fees”

I’m starting to accept my fate… Hahahaha.

Sigh… does anyone know if we might be hearing back from them this week? I’m getting so anxious. I SIRed to UCM, but still hoping on UCI!

i SIRed to UCM, too! but i still have my fingers crossed for uci and ucsb. i hope they release their decisions soon!!

Same here! UCI is my number one choice! Looking at last years releases of decisions, it seems like people get it mid may!! im praying! i mean, ucm is a nice school but i dont like the area. hahahah!

yeah i totally agree. i mean the campus itself is really nice since everything is new, but there’s pretty much nothing to do there… i heard that housing isn’t guaranteed if you get in through appeal which worries me, but they should have room, right?

Sighh and they don’t offer many majors. Did you sign up for housing and orientation already in case?? I’m pretty sure they should. Cause reading last year’s threads, some people got in in september and were still able to get a room! Praying they accept us by this week or next (:

highly doubt that. you guys should call like i did and find out when they are going to release the decisions

anyone know how many appeals they’re going to accept this year?? uci is my last hope or its santa cruz for me…

@ bballplyrref

and when is that?

@ patricia9992: yeah i already signed up for housing, i don’t think orientation is available just yet though…? but i just wanted a security blanket and so did my parents. i wouldn’t mind going to ucm for the first two years and then working really hard to transfer. plus i got a scholarship so it makes going there more bearable. haha. but yes i REALLY hope that they release decisions soon! just at the end of this month at the latest!

according to the person in admiss/student relations, the decisions would start to be released at the end of may

I’m not suprised by UCI for this <.<. Hopefully appeals arent waves :(.

im pretty sure they are. they are probably going to be processed as more room if any opens up. so basically case by case; one at a time. in other words, its probably going to be the wave system

lol well I rejected the SIR for UCI so hopefully someone well deserved of it gets in :)
