My appeal letter was about a rough family circumstance that directly impacted me.
@Richmondc Nothing yet :-S
Has anyone who appealed been rejected yet or have they just been sending out acceptances right now? It’s just nerve wrecking waiting all this time
I don’t think anyone has been rejected yet but I feel like they’ll let all the rejections know during June-July
Many people on the UCI wait list haven’t heard back either…
Any updates? I sent mine in March and I still have nothing, I feel like this is going to be another rejection.
For those who did hear back, did you have to keep checking or was there an email sent saying your status had been updated?
@Music1786 they emailed me saying my admission status was changed
It’s been over six weeks and I have a feeling this won’t end well. Since my rejection came towards the end of their cycle, I have a feeling their saving rejections for the end once more.
@burritosgalore Thanks!
@xyz321123 I’ve been feeling the same but I don’t want to give up hope yet
Good news for everyone.
I was informed by uci admissions staffs that appeal 2015 acceptance rates will be 95 percent. Congratulations all. Raise your hope and wait…
o.o What the…?
I have a hard time believing that is true. If it is, than I seriously hope that I am not part of that 5%…
@uiclover that’s amazing. I’m not too sure I trust what the people at admissions say anymore though. Did you speak directly to a counselor?
@uiclover I don’t think this is true. It doesn’t make sense that this year they received so many applications, the highest of previous years and the appeal acceptance rate will be 95 percent. I think 2014 they said they accept 5 percent of the appeals, so there is no way for them to jump to 95 percent. Second, someone said on here that even some of the wait list haven’t been released a decision yet. I feel that the people that their appeals have been granted already got accepted in May and the rest will just be rejections.
Wow thanks for sharing the info! Where did you get the info from and do you know the reasoning behind it? @uiclover
I talk to the higher level of management of uci admission office. The acceptance decisions are already made but not yet released. Again, raise your hope and wait…
@uiclover did you call them and just asked them what the acceptance rate was?
And anyone know when they will be released then?
@uiclover Was the percentage rate specifically for freshman or transfer students?
@uiclover did they tell you by when they will be released?
