UCI Appeal?

Hi there guys, I haven't been accepted or denied by UCI but IF I do get denied, should I appeal? I just want to think ahead of time and write my appeal letter beforehand before I get really busy with school.

But I'm a 2nd year UC-UC transfer. I'm a biosci major and my GPA isn't the highest. My GPA is 3.53, and I will have my pre-reqs and GEs done by the summer (I stated it in my application.) I failed 2 CC GE courses in the summer. My spring GPA was lowest (3.0) because of my family members declining health and I had to make many visits back home, affecting my GPA. In the summer, my family member passed away, causing my grades to suffer and so I failed my two CC classes. But then I retook those two classes on top of my UC courseload and got a B- and A-. I also had an upward trending GPA (Deans list, 3.8 and 3.9 for the past two quarters after the death). Would this be enough to have them consider my appeal if I get denied?

Another question: Can I send in an appeal letter if I am waitlisted before my waitlist decision comes out?

Thanks!

Bump? :frowning: >___<

I would wait until the decision. If you do get waitlisted or rejected, it wouldn’t hurt to appeal— the worse that can happen is they deny again.
