Still nothing, kinda doubt I’m gonna get a decision at this point lol
Has anyone heard from educational sciences yet? That’s my first choice. If I got in for psych (my backup) would I know by now?
Guys!!! I think there’s still hope for international student. I asked my Chinese friend and none of them received their decision yet. So maybe international student get their decision later ? Any international student who got their decision yet?
Btw my friends lied to me about getting their decision…XD. Screw them!!
I have a friend who received his decision yesterday as an Art major. However, every other international student (including me), hasn’t received a decision yet.
@“17.dogs.sc28” I submitted mine when you did and got accepted for psych on Friday
I haven’t heard back from UCI yet, does this mean I probably got rejected?
Is it over for the rest of us, not international students
@Crazybaby2019 how do you know
Do they consider both alternative and preferred major when making decisions?
My preferred major is competitive but my alternative is less.
@musiciangoaler: You are admitted into the University first and then reviewed for your 1st choice major. If you do no meet their admission standards for your 1st choice major, then you evaluated for your 2nd choice major.
@dubbe408 I’m not sure that’s what the comments above are lw saying
So keeping it real, my D has not heard from psych and i see many in that major have, is that a bad sign?
As a bio major all I’m hearing is that I didn’t get admitted oof
I haven’t heard back from UCI yet. Does this mean I probably got rejected??
@Gumbymom what if I don’t meet the standards for both my 1st choice and 2nd choice? because I don’t quite get how we might be admitted into university first.
@pleaseaccept123: There is still the possibility that you would be admitted Undeclared.
Hey guys, has anybody gotten into informatics yet? Or know someone who did? Or seen anything on this thread about it? Because I applied informatics as my first, data science as my alt, and I have not gotten anything back and I am hoping tomorrow I will not be waitlisted or rejected. I got into UCSD already but I would like to keep my options open thanks.
Random question but regarding this year and last year’s admission stats, I feel as if it got a lot more competitive. My friends and some of their parents said that it is because of the number of babies born in 2000. In asia there are almost 140% increase in applicants due to the huge increase in babies that were born in 2000 (it is considered a very lucky year to be born like a superstition).
That being said, do you guys think next year it will be slightly easier because there are less applicants? Or will it just get increasingly harder each year?
@fawnofthedead My S got accepted for Informatics yesterday. He applied 1st data science, 2nd CS, so It’s still not clear why he got into that instead of wait listed.
