Did anyone apply for International Studies??
Anxiouswaiter, your friend’s stats are really low at SAT1200 and GPA 3.5. I saw almost all the acceptance are over 4.0 GPA. Such stats cannot even get into San Diego State or UCR. Is your friend a black, Hispanic, or American Indian? I heard American Indian is easiest to get in as they have the lowest grades average as a minority and really under represented in UC’s. Could your friend play sport well? Any alumni connection. Maybe your friend has some film talent or a lot films on YouTube for the film studies major. If not, it would be a mystery for how he can get in.
I seriously doubt if any rejections have come out yet.
Last year, waitlist announcements started coming out Monday evening and rejections were on Wednesday.
The year before that, waitlist announcements started coming out on Tuesday and rejections on Wednesday.
@UCacceptmeplease I’m waiting on educational science too. I haven’t seen anyone get accepted for it yet on here. I don’t think it’s too hard a major at UCI so I think our chances are pretty good. At least I hope!
The whole decision release system is disastrous. Irvine let the students who need the offer the most wait, wait, and wait, and then kill their hope. Those who will most likely decline the offer get the offer first. I think it’s better that everybody gets the results at the same time, like most schools did. Don’t know if you agree.

are they rolling out acceptances tomorrow? or waitlists?
@UCacceptmeplease I haven’t for biological science, but plenty of people have. I’m in state 4.0 UC 32 ACT statewide path and feel like a very qualified candidate (except for the fact that I’m chinese lol). Last name C.

Stats: 3.45 unweighted, 4.09 weighted, 3.82 uc capped weighted 7 ap classes 10-11, 11 aps 12 grade. Sat :1380

@cccali im in state too at a top highschool. im also asian 
my friend got accepted on Saturday in Engineering. I have better SAT and she has a better GPA. we go to the same school in US and we are both international slash Chinese lol, but I applied to CS and still not heard from UCI. I got waitlisted from UCSD, if UCI turns me down I am seriously considering if UC hates me.

This year a lot of people have not heard back yet, and it is Sunday night. I feel that a lot of acceptances will come out tmrw
