I've been admitted to UCI with an invitation to CHP.

What does this mean for other UC campuses? Although UCI with CHP is nice, I would much rather take UCLA/UCB without honors over it.

I want to know also. I'm hoping for UCSD because LA and Cal seem out of reach for me.

Wait, how do you know you're accepted into UCI?

UCI released some acceptances earlier this week.

oh, by mail or email?

congrats :)

Being accepted into the CHP, or campuswide honors program, at UCI means absolutely nothing in comparison to UCLA or UCSD or UCB. They have their own honors programs, and acceptance into the honors program at UCI doesn't mean that you've also been accepted into honors at other UCs.

Also, UCI only released early acceptances this week to people that have been accepted into the honors program. Being in the honors program at UCI, I feel that it is better than non-honors at UCB or UCLA but I'm not going to try to convince you. You are the only person who can decide where to go.

I know of some people who got regents at UCI and didn't even get into Berkeley so they are completely unrelated.

but doesnt getting into uci honors program mean that you're like top 10% of the applicant pool and since ucb and ucla accept around 20% of its applicants then that means you can maybe get in? haha i'm being hopeful
