General Comments: UCI has been my #1 choice of school to attend. I am honestly shocked and so excited to be accepted. I guess it’s true that it’s not just about statistics. I personally believe that my extracurriculars which were tied in with my personal statements helped me so much. CONGRATS TO THOSE WHO MADE IT! I got rejected from UC Davis. :P</p>
<p>@taehunchoi Cal Poly’s admissions decisions are based almost solely off of GPA and test scores, whereas the UCs look into variables beyond those that are quantitative. UCs take into account, along with GPAs and test scores, any desirable traits that an applicant possesses. Just because those with lower test scores get in does not by any means convey that UCI is an “easy” university.</p>
