Just gonna get straight to the point. There its listed that part of my major prereq is to have one year of approved college level math, preferably courses equivalent to … and if not available, other major-related math courses are available. If I have taken Precalc, and Calc 1 but not Calc 2, am I considered to have minimally passed this requirement (would you think)?
Edit: Specifically, will Precalc qualify as major-related?
Are you coming from a CC? If so, what does the assist page say?
Yes. Here is the assist page.
http://web1.assist.org/web-assist/report.do?agreement=aa&reportPath=REPORT_2&reportScript=Rep2.pl&event=19&dir=1&sia=IRVINE&ria=UCI&ia=IRVINE&oia=UCI&aay=14-15&ay=14-15&dora=CS
Its more or less of no difference to the other link. I would assume that by ‘other major-related courses’ it is referring to that Linear Algebra course in the Assist page?
Edit: But then again it doesn’t make sense because the ‘other major related math courses’ is just 1 which is only half-year in total.
Ah, I don’t think so. It says a year worth relating to the two calculus classes. However, I’d send a quick email to a UCI rep and ask.
Alright! That’s a good idea! Thanks!
@JoeW467 Did you ever get a response from them? I’m interested in what they said (planning to take Math 2B & Math 3A instead of 2A because I accidentally skipped)
