uci psychology transfer

Ok so i applied as a psychology transfer to uci and i'm still waiting to hear back, are any other psychology transfers in the same position as i am? I'm starting to freak out because I dont have the highest gpa. Here are my stats:

G.P.A. 3.09
Transferring from: CCC
Units Completed: 60 done at the end of this spring semester
IGETC: completed at the end of spring semester
NO TAG
EC's: I listed sports captain from high school, and a student mentor
Essay: 7/8 outta 10 i think
Dean's List for Fall semester 2010.
I've had an upward trend in my grade, I graduated high school in June 2010, so i took most of my classes to complete my igetc during high school. After high school, i've attended a community college and I got A's in all of my classes except one for the fall semester and I'm looking at pretty much straight A's for this semester if all goes well..If i get in i'll be a one year transfer..Does UCI look at upward trends at all??

I had a teacher who screwed up my grade for one of my classes for the fall semester, but she fixed it and gave me the A. I reported the change to UCI to my admissions counselor. A couple of days later I got an email from UCI admissions requesting that in order to complete the review of my application they needed me to send them unofficial transcripts from the colleges I had attended..I did so, but I still haven't heard back about an admission decision..should I be worried or what?? I'm so confused! Any sort of input would be great..Thanks so much!!! :)

Bump bump bump!!

honestly? You’re probably getting rejected . You said you have a 3.09 which in reality is probably a 2.98, so there is a 102.36% chance you will be denied.

Of course there’s always that ounce of “hope” you can hold on to…

Either way broski, good luck with your educational goals in 2011.

it’s not a 2.98 it’s a 3.09…i dont understand what you meant by that? lol

another thing i’m just confused about is why admissions would email me asking me to send them unofficial transcripts even though I already listed my grades and schools on the original application??

I found this on the UCI website but i’m not sure if this even applies to me:

"Does UCI need my fall semester grades or work planned for spring semester (work in progress)?

UC Irvine does not routinely ask for fall semester grades or work planned for spring semester; however, if this information is needed in order to make an admissions decision, the counselor evaluating your records will request it. <–admissions emailed me requesting unofficial transcripts! lol If you have earned grades of less than “C” in any transferable course in the fall semester, or have changed your schedule for the spring semester, it would expedite the review of your application to send this information as soon as possible."
