This is my first post on these forms, although I have read a lot of other posts first to try to find the answers I'm looking for before I made this new thread.

I'm starting to fill out the TAG online for UCI and I had a few questions.

Is it required I finish the IGETC before I apply? I am going to be taking my last IGETC class in the Spring and it is an easy one if that makes any difference (guaranteed A).

I can't finish all the classes on the ASSIST site for the major because 2 or 3 aren't offered at Santa Monica College but I have taken similar classes to all of them before except criminology (For their Psychology and Behavioral Science Major)

Also, I have a specific question about filling out the information for this year's and last year's gross income on the TAG site and I can't find the phone number to call to get some help, does anyone know what it is (I've tried a few but it sounds like they won't talk to be until September)

UCI doesn’t require IGETC

Missing the question but ill guess the insinuation by saying that it will be okay if you don’t finish all of your pre reqs, unless you are a major for an impacted department.

You would have to call the financial department or admissions at UC Irvine, those are the only places that could help.

If your school allows you to take the classes in a different order, then that’s fine, but you just have to have all 3 completed by the end of Spring '12. You’re also fine with IGETC being completed by the end of Spring '12 but the above poster was correct in saying that it isn’t required. I don’t think you’ll have any problems with your TAG application/major as long as you’ll have the appropriate number of transferable units and minimum GPA. You have already completed your 1st English course and transferable math by now, correct?

Just so you know, I haven’t seen the Criminolgy course offered at any CCs meaning that most transfers won’t have completed it. If you have time in your schedule, I think you should be able to find the other 2 classes at other CCs. The Intro to Stat class at my CC fulfills the Social Ecology Stat class at UCI so I assume that other introductory stat classes at any CCs will probably fulfill it. You don’t NEED to take this, but if you’d like to get ahead, you might as well.

I have completed more than needed of the general stuff for the TAG like 60+ units, 1 year of college level english, 1 year of college level math, and I have the gpa (although it is low at around 3.31 because I was an idiot and took 1 1/2 years of chem and advanced math).

But I will be taking stats in the spring with the physio. psych.

By the way, are you sure about not having to take the classes in order?

The TAG app the questions about your income etc are optional. The answers are only used for statistical purposes and not used when evaluating your application.
