<p>I'm intending to transfer to UCSD (Psychology Major), but without tag. I was wondering if anyone can chance me? It'll be much appreciated.

<p>Your in. UCSD is very lenient with major pre-reqs. If you complete IGETC and have a 3.0 they automatically TAG you. IGETC plus 3.0 in a non impacted major means your in.</p>
<p>What? They’ll automatically tag me even if I don’t fulfill the tag requirements (missing an english comprehension class)?<br>

<p>Notice that they didn’t mention that you need to finish your prereqs. IGETC, 60 units, 3.0 before you transfer. Also, you need english and math requirements covered before spring 2011.</p>
<p>The catch? Students that took classes from a foreign institution are automatically ineligible for tag.</p>
<p>UC Davis clarified that they need you to finish all possible prerequisite classes for tag.</p>

<p>Oops, and the “why hasn’t this been mentioned before” comment was due to my (mistaken?) take that you agreed with a previous user that I can be automatically tagged just because of my 3.0/igetc completion. Sorry…should have mentioned on my first post I was missing an english. :/</p>
<p>I’m not sure if psych is an impacted major or not at UCSD (don’t think it is) but UCSD accepted everyone down to a 3.2 last year so you should be good. Just shoot for a 3.3!</p>
<p>@OP, so you are missing an English class? Is it required for IGETC? If you dont complete IGETC by the end of Spring your probably screwed. If you complete IGETC and keep a GPA above 3.0 your most likely in.</p>

<p>@USMC0311, Missing it now, will try to get it during winter and, if the class is full, will take it in spring. So yes, I SHOULD have IGETC finished by then. Thanks for the comment btw.</p>
