UCI transfer question???

I have a question about transferring to UCI
They want you to list your major and then an alternate major
If you get accepted into your first major, will they still consider your alternate?
I'm asking this because I tagged into UCI under business econ but I really want to get into business administration which I put as my alternate.
I really wanted the guarantee just so I wouldn't freak out during the horrible waiting period.

I appreciate your help

No, they will accept ur major, not alternate. If your major get rejected, ur alternate will line up.

If you like business admin, please set it as Ur major, and set business econ as alternate. So if you get reject from business admin, your alternate which is business econ will be up to their consideration.

In any case, you are guarantee for business econ, so it doesn’t matter you get reject from business admin, you still in for business econ, BUT if you get accept into business admin, you can jump into business Admin.

Quick bump before deadline. I’m in the same boat. Scared to risk getting into business econ with TAG though.

Well to answer ehleeut’s question, I agree with Ferrari4XD. If you wanted Business Administration, then you should have marked Business Administration as your main then Business Econ as your alternate. Stick with what you marked in TAG in my opinion then try to change your major while at the new college you transferred to. If not, you’re just going to have to deal with having a Business Econ major.

Business Econ major has a lot of math required does it all have to be done before transferring and does it hurt our chance if we didn’t take all the math courses?

^ yes it hurts you so badly, finished them will make u a competitive applicant.
