I was thinking about it, but I didn’t want to go if it is just going to be a campus tour.

looks like i have to go or might as well to get the hold off my account. =( it so much chepaer than when i had to pay for ucsc orientation.

Transfer Success doesn’t remove the hold, Academic Advising and transcripts remove the hold. Transfer Success is not mandatory for anyone, unless for some reason you and your counselor have some special arrangement?

What Scannon says is correct. You need to send in all the required documents (transcripts, test scores, etc.) and attend academic advising. Your department should send you an email regarding dates academic advising for your major. For reference, I’ve already received such an email.

You have to call ahead to see if you can receive advising during Transfer Success.

=( oh wut. i still havent gotten that email and i got in on thursday. maybe to soon? going there tomorrow to turn in transcripts since i want it to get updated right away.

I haven’t gotten the email yet either and I got accepted in April lol. I guess it depends on what school you’re in. I’m in the School of Social Ecology btw.

@Jnguyen - You may also have a delay in notification about academic advising because you were just accepted recently. Remember to make sure all your transcript envelopes are sealed and stamped by your school’s administrators since you are delivering them by hand. Do not open them, even if you’re curious! Ahaha.

@Randroid - If you haven’t received the email, I don’t think I would worry about it yet. For reference, I’m in the School of Social Sciences. So I only know for sure that Political Science, Business Econ (Quantitative Econ, Econ), Anthropology & Social Science, Psychology, and International Studies.
