Hello everyone,

I am planning to pursue a double major in electrical engineering and computer science at UCI or UCSD. I am a junior level transfer from a community college and I hope to work for the government to design military weapons one day. In response to this thread, it would be nice if everyone could disregard the "prestige" ranking of both UCI and UCSD and focus more on which school has more opportunities for me. I am wondering if anyone knew which of these two UCs would provide me with more connections, internships, and programs to build a strong resume for my future career (designing military weapons). I am aware of Engineering Week and job fairs at both of these universities, but I do not know which companies visit each university and relates to my future career. Also, does obtaining the same GPA at both schools affect my chances to get into graduate school, or should I attend UCSD or UCI in preference of its environment and atmosphere? I plan to specialize a M.S. degree for electrical engineering at USC, UCLA, Carnegie Mellon, or Cal Tech. Thank you all for your time to read this and help me.

Sincerely,

Your future real life Tony Stark :)
