<p>Hey guys, I got in off the waitlist last night at 3am. 3.4 gpa Political science. i had given up all hope because admissions told me they were going to take virtually no one off the wait list. dont give up hope yet. Good Luck everybody.</p>

<p>Again to those who got accepted from waitlist, are you guys freshmen or transfers?</p>
<p>These are for transfers, freshman deadline was a month ago.</p>
<p>For those still on the waitlist, what does your transcript status say (under my schools)? Mine says “please send transcripts”. Although thats probably not a bad sign, it doesn’t necessarily mean its a good sign either. Off to the left it says UCI doesn’t require transcripts until you are officially admitted.</p>
<p>Mine says to “please send transcripts” as well. When I called the admissions office, they said that they do not post those unless you have already been admitted. Although I didn’t receive any notification yet :(, I’m pretty hopeful after seeing that under MyUCI in “MySchools”</p>

<p>just came from UCI early SPOP exempt orientation for freshman. They have 900 too many freshmen then they were planning on. They are really tight on all the due dates, counselor explained that admission is looking for every possible reason to lower the numbers for incoming students. So sorry… :-(</p>
<p>JollyGee, they haven’t even seen all the transcripts yet, almost all UC’s over enroll so that when they see the actual transcripts of the students, then they start cutting down. You have to remember we could have lied about our grades while applying.</p>
<p>Can a student be accepted at the last second before the semester officially begins? My friend was waitlisted and paid the fees (not sure what fees though), but instead he went to the Caribbeans. Can he still be accepted at UCI Medical for Fall 2011 as an incoming freshman?</p>
