@Bulenight By current semester GPA, do you mean that the 0.5 drop concerns the GPA from the classes you’ve only taken in the spring, or ALL classes after spring?

I think its a 0.5 drop in cumulative gpa. They said you can get at least 3Cs. Thats probably gonna be a 2.5gpa at least! As long as you dont go from a 3.8 total to a 3.3 total gpa then youre good.

WHEWWW. Not that I’d subconsciously want to slack off, but it’s good to hear we’ve got room to breathe.

i think it state very clearly
Your current GPA is significantly lower than the GPA with which you were admitted.
so ur current semester GPA cant not have a .5 difference than the GPA when u admitted.

^ No way the 0.5 decrease applies your semester GPA.

[New Bruins - Reporting Changes - Transfer Students - UCLA Undergraduate Admissions](http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/NewBruins/Changes_Transfer.htm)

It states very clearly to report:

"If you received any D or F grades, or if your OVERALL GPA has dropped significantly.

They’re not going to rescind someone for taking one class, getting a B, and getting a 3.0 semester gpa when they have a 4.0 cumulative.

However I can see them rescinding someone for having a 4.0 culmulative then getting straight C’s, bringing their overall gpa to sub 3.5.

Unless your provisional contract stated you had to maintain a certain gpa, everyone should be fine with a 3.0 and no grade lower than a C for the semester.

@wowowow
r u sure about that? cux i knew two of my frd got rescind becux they got 2 c’s and all A’s in their other class and end up UCLA rescind them…

hey, it says under ‘course requirements’ that I need to have a mathematical concepts and quatitative reasoning course done. I don’t remember taking/planning to take one? unless precalc counts. help?

what about having a 3.65 drop to a 3.30 overall gpa because of 1 B and 2 C’s on my last semester. Would my admissions get rescinded?
