How many people here were rejected from UCLA even though you were in the top 4%?

Everyone in my class that were ELC applied to UCLA, including me, and I was the only accepted. Everybody else was rejected.

Many ELC students in my son's school are rejected by UCLA. One , not ELC and low grade, but thousands of volunteer hours, got in.

A few ELC at my school, i'd like to say 4-5 or more, were rejected even though they had solid academics. idk about their extra curriculars

Last year approximately 56% of ELC UCLA applicants were admitted. I suspect that the % is a bit lower for the class of 2012 in light of the increased number of applicants. Obviously, SAT scores, extracurriculars, essay and other factors also impact admission decisions.

yeah...i think our class has about 13 ELC students. maybe around 8 of us applied to LA and three of us got accepted. but...there were a lot of other students not ELC that applied but didn't get accepted to LA too.

Everybody accepted to UCLA at my school (6, including me) was in the ELC....

well, except me. though i should have been in it, if my teacher had fixed my grade in time. she ended up turning in the forms for a grade change over the summer instead. but no, i wasn't labeled ELC during admissions.

Wow that sucks, you should apeal ivanadoeslimbo

eh, I don't see much point to it now.

I might not even go to a UC, so I doubt it will be very useful.

Every ELC at my school (22 of them) applied and go into UCLA. Most are going elsewhere. I was 24, and didnt get in, but will be going to Berkeley, unless my UCLA appeal comes through in 2 days!!!

i think there were 28 ELC's at my school...me being 27th...12 of us got in...i dont really know who the other ELC ppl are

17-18 of us got in...and we were all in ELC.

about 10 people from my school got into UCLA; about 3 of them were NOT ELC.

i wasnt elc and i got in (plus regents). i would have gotten it but my teachers changed my grades after AP scores came, which was incidentally after the ELC was due.
