UCLA and sophomore/low div transfers?

Hey guys I was just checking out the ucla admit page:

UCLA Undergrad Admissions: Profile of Admitted Transfer Students by Major, Fall 2008

and I noticed something new.

Theres a new section for Undeclared Humanities and Undeclared Social Sciences.
If you look at the avg gpa for those that enrolled, the gpa is slightly above 2.4!!!

Can someone with more experience/knowledge in this process shed some light?

I had no idea you could even apply undeclared.

Wow I didn't know that either. I thought you had to apply declared as something

I don't think you can put "undeclared" as your major because we're all junior-standing students. I read somewhere that starting this year you can't put undeclared.
