My Gpa is 3.93, completed all the pre, but rejected by UCLA (sta). Do I still have a chance to get into ucb or nine out of ten times that cal will also reject me ?

What major?

I think you still have a chance for Berkeley. Seems like the admissions people are very different between the schools.

hi bomerr, my major is statistic

May I ask what college you go to? I want to look at articulations between your school and UCLA/UCB.

Thank you so much. It is (PCC) Pasadena city college

Did you complete MATH 5A, 5B, 5C, and 10 and CIS 14 with A’s? Many people on here said admission to UCLA is a number game. Also, UCLA admitted 61 out of 101 students with average GPA of 3.70 last year, so I am surprised that you get rejected from UCLA.

@LaysOriginal
Yes, I finished them all with A. My friend finished them all with A too, and was rejected also. However, one of my classmate with a 3.3 GPA was accepted. ;(

Well, I have no idea why you got rejected from UCLA. From the number of admitted students last year, I assume Statistics is not impacted at all.
For UC Berkeley, Assist states that primary selection criteria for admission, in general, are the following:
- completion of L&S Requirements (or IGETC), plus
- strength of academic preparation, and
- grade point average.
You also completed MATH 55 and Stat 50 with A’s, right? Did you complete L&S requirements (or IGETC)? If yes, I think you have pretty good chance of getting into Cal.
