Do I have any shot to UCB&UCLA

I'm a communication major student, and for cal is media studies..
I got a very low Gpa, but I have accepted by Every UC I applied: UCI,UCR,UCSD,UCSB
I think it's because of my pretty good Personal statement..

Now I'm so so so nervous about tomorrow's decisions.. Can u guys give me some hint... Lol

You provided 0 information about anything except your major. How do you expect anyone to chance you with no information…

What discosteve said. Communications is a extremely impacted major, so if you have below a 3.7, your chances are slim.

Define very low. Cal may accept you, since their acceptance is more of a holistic approach. But UCLA, its a number game. If you dont have a certain GPA, youre automatically cut out.

I only have a 3.4 GPA (Comm like you) and I already gave up on UCLA.

My Gpa is around 3.4

@irimiii I am going to be brutally honest with you. Unless you have an exhaustive list of impressive extracurriculars( more namely leadership positions) to compensate for that GPA, I am going to have to say that your chances are almost slim to none for UCLA. I say this for the sole reason being that the average gpa for your major is a 3.9. That means that there are probably a substantial amount of applicants to that major who have a perfect GPA along with all their pre-reqs complete. Are you TAP certified? And, if so, have you declared an alternate major to a less impacted and less competitive major?
On the other hand, Berkeley utilizes a more holistic approach when evaluating applicants. So, this is where having amazing extracurriculars and personal statement come into play!! I wish you the best and am sending you positive vibes for tomorrow’s decisions!

There’s a cutoff GPA for UCLA’s comm program which is 3.5.
