UCLA Appeal.

i love my mom, a transfer was just a little thing i did for her. =)

peppamint, can u see your FAFSA summary on URSA ??

saba… i didnt call in ucla or anything as such. one of my family friends have a contact in ucla admissions, and they told me my answer… ucla doesnt give any decisions or any such info over the phone.

peppamint, i would send in an appeal…definitely…good luck!!

what i’m saying is that you should word it like that.

thanks nproamr, for the advice. that’s exactly how i wrote it in there also.

any other advice? i could really use a lot of it.

i don’t know, i think you have a much better chance than most with your story, especially if you can prove it. you can talk about something that you gained like getting close to your mom, spending time with family… maybe something you learned about yourself like how important she is to you. i mean the only people who wouldn’t eat that up would be like…SP123 because his mom beats him.

nproamr… im thinking of writing about how independent it made me, and ready for life thats coming, like ive gained the ability to face anything that comes my way.

i think in the past 4-5 years, i’ve lost my dad, my uncle, my great uncle, my grandparents, and one of my friends. that has effected me so much, and that is one of the main reasonsfor my mom’s illness as well. all of these deaths happened unexpected. and so, i’ve gained a lot in the past few years, and especially this experience… and i am, for sure, going to explain that in my letter!

wow, i’m sorry about that peppamintt. I hope they accept your appeal.

seriously. we’d accept you.

oh I’m sorry man… Best luck on your appeal… I would just be honest with them and be emotional as much as possible… I filed an appeal as a HS senior…so yea…

i hope they see me how u guys do! im tryign to make my appeal not sound like a story, but there’s nothing i can do to make it like non-storyish. u know?

thanks guys, for all ur support =) i appreciate it

peppamintt you seem like a pretty amazing person. i hope your appeal goes well, you deserve an acceptance. Good luck and God bless!

peppamint… hope to bump into u one day at UCLA

hope so too… totally looking forward to it! lets hope ucla lets me =P

Peppamintt, be strong!! I believe that you can do very well in any place even if you don’t go to UCLA.
I think your appeal is strong enough to me, and if that missing math class is the only reason why UCLA reject you, you can also choose summer school to make it up.
WISH YOU BEST OF LUCK!!

peppamint…you seriously do deserve an acceptance.

I’m sorry about the bad news about what you found out, but I heard that UCLA accepts 10% of appeals…and your situation seems like a good reason! Best of luck!!

thanks u guys…
im definately taking calc 2 in the summer, along with another class. so i think i should be fine, if they let me.

if they dont, wanna sign a petition to let me in? hehe jk =P

Good luck with your appeal. I really wish you get in. Congrats to everyone who can see their summary.
