How does prioritizing work for CCC if you are not TAP certified or completed the honors program. I am philosophy major and the avg. gpa is 3.55 according to the ucla website. Just to ease my nerves im looking for ways to ensure my acceptance. Since those who are transferring from other universities need higher gpa’s which would bring the average up a little bit. Does this mean that at a CCC you would need a gpa not as high? Would i get priority over some one trying to transfer from CSU to UCLA with a 3.6, if im at a CCC with a 3.4?

priority should be something like this for ucla and cal…

TAP Certified Applicants
CCC applicants
UC applicants
CSU / other in-state
out of state

some things might change a bit, like if your a california resident attending a school out of state , my guess is that you’ll probably be ahead of the other out of state students.

Biz Economics
GPA 3.93
Avg GPA 3.82

for cal: Transfers from California community colleges receive priority in the transfer selection process. All other transfer applicants are treated the same, with no priority given to UC intercampus transfers.

for LA: UCLA gives priority to students transferring from both California community colleges and other UC campuses. However, we do regularly admit students who are attending other four-year institutions. UCLA accepts junior-level transfer students for the fall quarter only.
