<p>i applied to the ucla art department for fall 2011 and i've completed everything including my supplemental application and portfolio but i'm so nervous about getting in. i'm curious as to anyone knowing how hard it is to get accepted into their department....i think my portfolio is decent but i'm so unsure. if anyone has information or knows how hard it is to get accepted that would be appreciated. thanks. </p>

<p>Yes the UCLA-Arts program is competitive. This year UCLA-Arts probably got 900-ish applications from high school seniors for the Fine Arts program. They will enroll about 45 freshmen which is about 5%.</p>
<p>I can’t find the link right now but UCLA will break last years national record with over 62,000 kids applying for about 4,500 freshmen seats.</p>
<p>FYI, UCLA-Arts has no provision for early admits. All are notified at the same time (mid to late March) via their website and by mail.</p>
