<p>I know the family push is strong, but I think you’ll be much happier going where you want to go. It’s time for you to be able to make your own decisions and your family needs to realize that too.</p>
<p>Accepted to both UCLA (Biochemistry) and Berkeley’s College of Letters and Science. However going to University of Michigan to major in Cell and Molecular Biology.</p>
<p>Ultimately, this will be my decision. But as of right now, I am torn regardless. 50/50 </p>

<p>You should just frame that acceptance to Cal and go to UCLA chibi :]. It sounds like your heart is at UCLA, but you want to make your family proud ( Cal is a spectacular achievement ). Hopefully you’ll be cheering with me in the Bruin Den next year and not across the way!</p>

<p>I think I have been looking for the thread since decisions were posted. Since I was in highschool UCLA has been my dream school…after working my butt of for the last two years in community college I was certain that if I got into UCLA I would go NO MATTER WHAT. Now, Ive been accepted at Cal as well and I have never been more conflicted in my entire life. I really want to enjoy the next two years, and I remember falling in love with UCLA when I toured there…but really its freaking CAL! Do people just pass that up? I would be a Mass Comm major at Cal and a History major at UCLA. </p>
<p>Ive spent the last two weekends in Berkeley trying to make myself love the city…but its awful, really ugly and freezing. I was born and raised in the Bay Area so Im ready for a change…but this is a really tough decision. </p>
<p>I toured the Wada complex at Cal - they are for upper division and transfer students and there gorgeous, brand new and really pretty. And they have a kitchen too. But they are about 3 blocks from campus…</p>
<p>In addition, Cal gave me a 10k scholarship and UCLA gave me nothing, I know it shouldnt come down to the money but the idea of walking away from college with virtually no debt is tempting…</p>
