I don’t know much about Cal poly, but I think you’ve got a good shot at UCLA.

I’m a year behind you (just starting CC this fall), and I am dreaming of doing psych at UCLA as well. But yeah; I’m impressed. I hope I can do as well as you and get a great gpa like you. Do you have any advice for me? I really want to do psych at UCLA

You’ve got a great shot, just don’t let your grades fall! I’d recommend applying to a few more schoolers just in case though. I think your stats are great but putting all your eggs in one or two baskets is a bad idea IMO.

Thank you both! I’m really hoping I get into one of them. I agree with you Shannon, I’m definitely trying to come up with some backup colleges just in case.

gettinthatfosho–I recommend using rate my professor to choose teachers, so you are not stuck with really bad professors. Registering for classes at community colleges can be frustrating with budget cuts. So, I recommend having a plan to register for classes, and a back up plan or two, so when registering time comes around, you are ready. Also, email professors right away if classes fill up, so that you might be able to have a chance of getting into the class. Just focus on school, and a little extracurricular stuff–thats all I can really say. Don’t mess around with the wrong people and stuff; just really put a good effort into everything you do in school.
