UCLA chances? Will chance back!

Thanks! You too!

@Isaacs22, you need to go back to the website and reread the costs for the UC’s.
http://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/paying-for-uc/tuition-and-cost/

There is a $23K additional supplemental that OOS students pay and it is not covered by any scholarships or aid, so your cost would be closer to $55k to $60K per year.

“Nonresident students pay an additional $22,878 in nonresident supplemental tuition”.

And, you will not get instate tuition rates during any of those 4 years because any student, who upon entering the UC’s, is here for education, pays full fees all 4 years.

Additionally, the state of California does not have money, so OOS students pay full fees. There is no financial aid for OOS so, I don’t know how you got $30K. That’s what I pay yearly for my dd’s expenses for her UC and we’re instate.

You would have to work for a full year, without attending school, and paying California taxes, rents, licenses, etc. LA is very expensive and public transportation is not good, so everyone drives.

Thank you for the information. I’ll be sure to look into the resources you provided.

GPA and SAT’s both seem a bit low, I would say reach. Good luck!
