I am an out-of-state applicant from Indiana that applied to UCLA. I was wondering if any past or current applicants, current students, or anybody who has knowledge regarding acceptance criteria for UCLA could provide some insight on my chances of getting accepted. It’s been my dream school since the fourth grade, and I can’t wait for the March decisions to come out to see if I get accepted or not!
SAT: 1930
ACT: 29
GPA: 4.3 Weighted, 3.85 Unweighted
Extracurriculars: Student Council (Freshman and Sophomore Class President and current Student Council/Student Body President), DARE role model, Representative of the Students for my town’s Community Foundation, Varsity Football, National Honor Society.
Awards: AP Scholar, All-State Academics, Sophomore Prince, Homecoming King, Kiwanis Scholar, and a couple others.
I thought I wrote some solid essays, and I do come from an unordinary circumstance because I have a brother with autism.
All input is highly appreciated! Thank you!
You have a competitive GPA, EC’s decent but test scores below average. If you have some good essays, they will definitely give you a boost. Since you are OOS, I assume you are Full pay, which should also help.
UCLA: Low Reach/High Match
Decision could go either way. You did not state intended major.
Thanks! And Biology.
Honestly: your SAT score is significantly low for UCLA. Biology is impacted and your score is not competitive. The positive is that you are full-pay, being OOS, so you get a point for that.
