I’ve been trying to submit my application since 12pm and now it’s 7pm and the app keeps denying my card. I’ve spent the past hour crying because this is my dream school i’m talking about and may not get a chance to frigging apply!!!

@AdaezeU try different card

@ballerina016 i’m in boarding school, I have no access to credit cards or phones, just laptops. My brother emailed me his credit card details and now he’s not replying my mails. My house mother has been trying to reach him or my mum and no one is answering.

@AdaezeU Oh I just saw your post from Class of 2016!! :smiley: glad you got your app submitted :slight_smile:

@chubii is it hard to believe i’m just seeing this now? well thank you, i’m also glad. Just waiting for my SAT scores to be sent

i applied to UCLA and its my number one. I have a 90.6 average (my school doesn’t do 4.0 scale) and a 1940 SAT score. I have taken 3 APs and 3 Honor Courses. My extracurriculars are really good (4 year track captain, african american club president, and over 150 hours of volunteer work). What are my chances looking like at UCLA

@christianxsmith in state or OOS?

Is it true that uclA is mostly straight gpa and test scores although they say they take a holistic approach it must isnt possibly due to the shear number of applicants they get

Also, if I’m out of state and have all A and A-, do I have a perfect gpa in the uc system?

Nobody here can tell you what UCLA wants. It is the most unpredictable UC. They value GPA the most. Despite what they officially say, it also helps very much to be URM.

@Ballerina016 UCs do not take race into consideration so being an URM does not have any advantages

@crossovercuber They don’t officially. But they find the way to do it.

@Bellerina016 is that were the case the cal wouldn’t be 3% african american and ucla is like 5%
