@crossovercuber http://universityofcalifornia.edu/infocenter/freshman-admissions-summary

Select campus on the right. Then select ethnicity.

@Ballerina016 thats talking about the uc system as a whole, i am only referring to berkeley and ucla

@crossovercuber Select campus on the right. You can select UCLA only. UCB only.

@Ballerina016 i still don’t see much of affirmative action, it might be that those URM are qualified

@christianxsmith what’s your major?

Just got rejected ED to Cornell so i am banking on UCLA

@crossovercuber OOS

@chubii I applied to undeclared letters of arts and science

@christianxsmith completely honest, your SAT is a bit too low to call it a match… :confused: also, UCs use the UC gpa not school gpa
Good luck though!! Hope everyone here gets in!

What is the general idea about how UCLA takes their applicants? I feel like I am pretty stable in my stats (4.1-4.2 UC GPA, 4.4 fully weighted UC GPA, 3.8 unweighted, 33 ACT, 760 Math 2 and 710 Chemistry) and top 9% in magnet high school. My extracurriculars are pretty strong as well. But the only thing I am really concerned about is my personal statements. I feel like they’re really just average/below average. Would the personal statements ruin my chances of getting in?

^yes. Very. The essay is the only way to distinguish yourself. But dont feel discouraged, thousands of others have the same problem. Your stats are pretty good, however.

What are your guy’s uc gpa? Mine’s 4.26

@ikim16 4.5

Whats average? A book said 4.31 for UCLA.

And the “rounds” that uc uses, to eliminate people who do not meet certain academic requirements, whats an accurate one for ucla? Im not crazy about this method, but it would be nice to know what it is.

Number one UC, visited countless times, hope to hope the samueli school of engineering and eat at covel commons and ball at the John wooden gym :smiley:

@ikim16 i heard average is about 4.49 and idk about the rounds
