@CollegeGal223… my son did too
@CollegeGal223 did yours have 2 questions?Did you receive any from other schools too?
Did the request come via email or just a post on the portal?
Both email and portal
same, I got one too! does everyone get this?
I think it’s more of an on the bubble thing like lower than average GPA, but they’re interested in hearing more about you.
@happywaffles @knowledgeispower18 @CollegeGal223 May I ask when u guys submitted ur application for UCLA?
At this point most supplementals have come out but Ucla can ask for additional information at any time at their discretion.
@ironweasal submitted last week of November…
i got a request too! my gpa is on the lower range (3.65), so i bet they are trying to learn more about me. hopefully getting into UCLA!! so nervous now i gotta go write two more supps
@ironweasal I submitted mine on November 26
I haven’t got a request for any supplements :/. I’m not a super strong candidate: my sat is 1440 (760 math, 680 english/reading/whatever), my gpa is 3.5ish. I have okay extracurriculars: 4 year varsity swimming, 1 year captain; hospital work; swim coach for special needs kids; and 4 year varsity orchestra, 4 years section leader. I think my essays were okay, but i don’t know if that’s enough to carry my application. Does that mean that I haven’t got in?
@sillybillyphilly: You cannot infer anything in regards to your admission decision based on if you get a request for a supplemental review or not. You will just have to wait until decisions are posted.
none of us have the power nor ability to tell you if u make it in… we’re merely students going through the same process with, + some people like “10s4life” that made it in. We don’t decide if u make it in. We don’t decide the criteria… all I know for sure is that odds as International applicants are much lower than local CA residents.
Does UCLA still sending out supplement request? I didn’t get the request means I got rejected? In my school, most people with the same stats as me got the request, so thats the end? X_X
@Kawai007: Only 15% of all applicants will be asked for a supplemental review. You have not been rejected until your decision is posted on your portal.
If a student is not asked to submit additional materials, does this mean he/she will not be admitted?
A request for additional materials is simply a signal that a campus wants more information before making a decision. In most cases, applicants will not be asked to submit additional materials.

Asking for more information is only if you are REALLY on the fence or they feel like they do not have enough information about you. I’m not sure why some people are expecting to get this.
hey – can people who got the supplement share their stats? just kinda curious about what UCLA is going for and what their definition of “on the fence” is.
my stats: 34 ACT, 4.06 weighted GPA from my school, and 3.79 UC GPA. I applied for pre-psych
I got a supplement request
Stats: 1520 SAT, 4.8 UC GPA, and 33 act. I applied to biology
I do have a disability so that might be why I got one
