Can someone please call the admissions office and ask when they will be releasing more decisions if any today.
This is gonna be one long forum
I wont be surprised if it reaches 100 by June
Had a friend got off the waitlist for IS, I only know his SAT score 1490 and major neuroscience. I still haven’t gotten any email from UCLA either : ( not losing hope though
Has anybody that’s gotten in for IS today received any word of Financial Aid?
@BelovedMaze did your friend get off the waitlist in the morning?
It appears that the IS wave was small, as compared to OOS/INTL a few days ago. IS pool of admits is probably high, and today more IS will probably submit SIR. I think IS waitlist is done. Referring to the article by UCLA Provost, the IS admits committed to UCLA rather than going out of state to other schools.
@CaliBoy2024 how do you know about this?
I don’t think so. It is too early to tell if the waitlists are done. Besides, there are many spots available now that fewer OOS and international students are SIRing. This also produces more spots for schools like Cal or the Ivy League that might’ve waitlisted people who were admitted to UCLA. Now they’ll leave and give up their spots to us waitlisted people. Many IS students also have more choices now that USC is offering free tuition for families that make under 80K, so don’t lose hope. Yet.
there’s supposed to be more IS waves for sure. This can’t be the last wave LOL
I suspect there will be at least two more IS waves if my analysis is correct.
today’s IS wave was small, right?
How many more oos waves do y’all think there’ll be
Reddit: silent, a couple posts about the waitlist that are a few days old
This thread: hundreds of theories, random hopeful messages, 61 pages long, hella questions and people
Quick question, what does “IS” mean?
IS: In-state
OOS: Out-of-state
When would the next wave be? Is there going to be anymore today?
does waves come during the weekend?
The waves will come when they decide…yes I’m as anxious as any but its almost impossible to predict when, or if, they come out.
@jeenn123 not sure but someone in the appeals thread mentioned that in the past years, appeals got sent out on weekends. So maybe?
