UCLA Comm transfer

I currently am in my Summer semester, after which will complete my first year of community college. I would like to transfer after two years, so I have one more year left. However, Communications department at UCLA states applications with 3.5 or higher only get reviewed. Is that a 3.5 gpa at the time I submit my application in November? Because when I do submit my application, I will be well below 60 transferable units because the application process is during my second school year of community college, which I plan to have 60 transferable units AFTER the application is due.

What do you figure your GPA will be abouts?

Well after 1 year of community college it’ll be a shade under 3.5, maybe 3.4. I know it will be higher after a semester though. I font understand why they would only accept my application if I have a 3.5 or higher after just one year

Because Communications at UCLA is SUPER impacted. So they have to up their standards of acceptance and a way of doing that is having a minimum GPA requirement.

And its my gpa as of November…

If you’re going to have a 3.5 then you’ll make the cut to at least be evaluated.
