I am a community college student and I am applying to UCLA this year for fall 2010. I am nervous about being accepted. My GPA is a 4.0 and here are my ec's:
officer of phi theta kappa
asb member
transfer club member
part-time job
internship with a production company
honors enrichment student
tennis

Is there anything else I can do?

my major that I am applying for is communications, one of the most competitive majors.

You didn’t mention if you are in-state or out-of-state, and you didn’t mention if you took the required prerequisite courses.

Presuming that you took the required prerequisites: If you are in-state, you’ll definitely be admitted as a transfer. If you are out-of-state, it is still likely, but not guaranteed.

P.S. Generally, it takes about a 3.66 GPA to transfer to UCLA, but communications majors usually need about a 3.80

I am a california community college student who is in the process of taking my prerequisites. Does it make a difference to have all your prerequisites by the end of fall semester than the spring semester the year you apply? Statistics is my only course left for my prerequisites and have a few more classes to finish in IGETC, but all of my courses will be finished by the end of the spring term 2010, guaranteed.
