UCLA Course Schedule

So I have finished enrolling in all my classes and as a freshmen, I only have 3 courses. The thing I'm worried about is the number of courses I'm taking. The advisors told us to take 3 courses only however I'm a bit worried because most of my friends who are going to other universities are all enrolled in 4 courses so it gives me a feeling that I'm going to take longer to graduate or something. Does anyone feel the same way?

Also, are we losing out on anything because we are only taking 3 courses? or is it simply because the system or classes at UCLA are different from most other universities?

Yeah and they make you graduate in 4 years. So you lose both ways.

Are your “friends who are going to other universities” under the semester system? If so, that’s why. You also have to consider your majors. Some schools have really laid back majors with less requirements in the same amount of time, others the opposite is true.

You’re only taking 3 courses for your FIRST quarter as a freshman. Even if you take 4 courses in all of the other quarters, you’re going to be just fine…
