ucla dorming

how do i change my housing to commuting..? I want to commute but i am registered as a dormer

i have the same problem.
do you know if your financial aid is gonna change alot from changing from oncampus/offcampus to commuting??

change it on the fafsa website. submit a corrections for the 2009-2010 record

i think the best and fastest way is to call the finaid office at ucla and tell them. if you change it thru fafsa.edu it takes a longer time.

ucrucla-yes your FA is most def gonna change a lot.

“do you know if your financial aid is gonna change a lot…” (i took the liberty of separating the two words ‘a’ and ‘lot’ for you)

i applied to UCSB and UCSD with off-campus housing and UCLA with on-campus housing…

EFC: $2,600
gift aid:

UCLA: ~$15,000
UCSD: ~$8,500
UCSB: ~$12,000

so yeah… i guess it varies…

also, it seems that they take the property value into account… at UCSD, you can probably find a single for around ~$600 / $650
while in SB (isla vista), i shared a room for $550 (considered cheap for a house)
