UCLA Engineering Likely Letters

Do only admitted students get an invitation to attend the the April 13 open house at UCLA?

If you did not get the invite for the open house, does this mean you are not likely to be admitted?

D received it last night around 9pm. Mechanical. 2150, Math II 800, 4.4 (3.9uw). Very excited. Loves the school

Has anyone in aerospace got one yet?

@aks2014
Apparently the emails are staggered. I’m not too sure it’s 40%, but I know it’s not sent to all admitted engineers.

@parkreation I hope its lesser… because if we’re in the top pool at UCLA, we should also be somewhere in the accepted pool at Berkeley…

@gman333 Best of luck to you!! I’m sure you will end up attending at a perfect college in the Fall!

Thanks @sudsmom I sure hope I do!!!

so i didnt get a likely letter and decisions come out tomorrow for bme, so am i most likely rejected? Definitely don’t feel entitled to it, because i’d be super lucky to get in to such a prestigious university. I thought my stats were decent but guess not :(

@coolkat123 Relax. Only the top 40% applicants get the likely. Its their marketing strategy to get students’ attention beforehand. If you didn’t get the LL, you still have a chance, cz u might be in the other 60%. :)

Accepted! Anyone who got the invite and was rejected?

Yay aks

If you get the likely letter, you are 100% in. I got it last year, and I didn’t get one from Berkeley, so I eventually got rejected from Berkeley, which made me sad. But UCLA is still a phenomenal Engineering program.

Got the likely and got in!

Same here.

Same!

Applied to Biology major. I didn’t get a likely letter but still got in :)

How do I update my senior year mid-year grades on my application? Is it too late to do that? I know Berkeley decisions come out on the 27th. My senior year grades were much better than my junior year grades. So I want to make sure they have my latest info.

@Darthpwner, Does Berkeley have a “likely” letters program too?

For future applicants: I received the Engineering Open House Invite/Likely Letter and was accepted to my first choice major.
