I was just admitted this morning to the American Literature and Culture major. I’m in state from a cc.
GPA: 3.43 (when applied)
EC: Just my job at a restaurant
Additional Info: I talked about how much I love UCLA and how the program was a perfect fit for me. I also mentioned my accomplishments since applying including a promotion at my job, getting published in a literary journal, and being on the dean’s list. At the end I also added a short poem I wrote about UCLA.
Reason waitlisted: I had to drop a needed class due to the coronavirus.
I’m wondering, will there be any big waves for out of state students? Been worrying since I first submit the waitlist lol. Congrats to all who have been admitted! I am still waiting for pre business econ.
anyone hear as stats or other STEM majors recently?
They’re admitting so many students for Letters and Science majors and I’m still here waiting. I don’t understand 
my LOCI was also really good.
I’m also stats major but I’m an international student. I didn’t hear anything yet, I have checked last year thread and it seems like maths major will hear from mid June to the end of June.
Did anyone get off the waitlists as an international student after June 1st?

for anyone who got admitted off of the waitlist a week or two ago, did you ever receive a welcome packet in the mail? i never got one ;( if so, what all was in it?
I’m assuming LOCI is what was added for the waitlist response? I got in off the waitlist on 6/6 for MCDB college of letters and science. On the waitlist prompt I only updated my grades like they asked and I added one sentence along the lines of ‘Thank you for the opportunity and I will remain hopeful for Fall admission.’
Not sure if that helps anyone that is second guessing what they wrote. I don’t think it was a factor.

I got off today for the 2nd major that I had put on my TAP (anthropology)!!
Wondering that too! So far I don’t think a single OOS has posted on this thread about an acceptance (unless I missed a post). But that obviously doesn’t mean that no OOS hasn’t been admitted, it’s just telling. University of California heavily prioritizes in-state applicants, I knew that coming into this but I still have some hope that some OOS students will be admitted.
I saw few OOS students got in as STEM majors…
Hey guys can someone help me please? so my major is Linguistics and Psych (it’s under linguistics department) i got no pass in one of my psych classes this semester and it’s not a major requirement and got 3 A. Do you guys think my acceptance will get rescinded? I am going to email them but i’m scared
@3Collegeuni Well were there any extenuating circumstances or other factors you might be able to bring up? That could help when you notify the school.
