@UniCoIn If it says “response received,” I wouldn’t sweat it. My confirmation email did not contain my answer either.
@jedenic Once you submitted the essay portion on the link they sent you to did it just reload it back to the same page with the question areas empty? Sorry for asking you all these questions im just worried
@UniCoIn Sorry I can’t answer that because I don’t remember I would call and ask to confirm. Hopefully someone else in this thread who remembers can answer you sooner.
@jedenic no worries thank you I was going to call but they emailed me on a Friday around 6pm and I’m guessing theyre closed on the weekends so I have to wait until Monday
@kb199977 wondering too where you got this info about transfer decisions being released April 24?
@kb199977 @spiritualgift also wondering this !!
I was told this by the director of my school’s transfer center last week. She said that the UCLA reps from my school said that transfer decisions will be out April 24th!
@kb199977 Thanks for sharing this!
@kb199977 That’s really interesting. It makes sense and follows the trend of the last few years, but it will be the first time in recent years that UCLA releases after UC Berkeley. Considering the aggressive timeline UCB placed on decisions this year it seems realistic.
Does anyone know why UCB is releasing decisions so early this year? It makes sense for UCLA to be April 24 but I can’t understand UCB releasing on April 19.
Maybe because UCB is #2 not #1(UCLA) anymore ??
https://www.usnews.com/best-colleges/rankings/national-universities/top-public
And UCB had about 25,000 less applications than in past years-the first time in a long time that they did not have an increase in applications.
Whoa! Do you think it’s because people are opting out of thoughts that they wouldn’t get in either way?
I am not sure why, but as far as I know some parents like me
are very concerned about the safety around the school.
@hoppy1 If you’re talking about the safety of UCB, I agree.
@hoppy1 @kb199977 According to areavibes: “The overall crime rate in Berkeley is 99% higher than the national average. For every 100,000 people, there are 14.93 daily crimes that occur in Berkeley. Berkeley is safer than 15% of the cities in the United States. In Berkeley you have a 1 in 19 chance of becoming a victim of any crime.”
I live in the bay and UCB isn’t as bad as everyone says, but you just gotta be careful where you walk/park especially at night.
@spiritualgift I think it could be the political climate on UCB campus. Protests on campus have become a distraction for some. I saw a video of students interrupting a test and refusing to leave. Occasionally students have blocked entrance to lecture halls or buildings.
We live in Bay Area(east bay).
We know exactly what it is like
unfortunately.
Also BART is not as safe as it
used to be.
Anyone applying as a major with a language requirement!? My major says it needs 1 year for consideration then 2 years extra if possible. The 1 year requirement can be done through high school and then the 2nd year doesnt specify. I took 3 years in high school, does anyone know if that it would count for the 2nd year too!?? im european studies btw.
@kristinpete I’ve seen those riots/protests too! That turns many applicants off I think, especially the violence. I also saw students blocking entrances like you mentioned.
@hoppy1 I agree BART is veeerrrry bad!
